How To Reset the Administrator Password in Windows 7 ?

Administrator password in Windows 7 is for any of the settings to access the administrator account password in Windows 7 level features.

There does not in fact an "administrator" user account. What you need is any account can be used as an administrator password.

Some times you need this password. You may need an administrator password in Windows 7, if you want to run programs or access to certain types of Windows 7 recovery tools.

Follow below steps to easily reset the administrator password in Windows 7!

Difficulty: Simple
Time Required: Just a few minutes
  1. Try the blank password. If there is actually an Administrator account, the password may not exist at all! Just press Enter without typing anything when asked for it.
  2. Enter your password to your account. In many cases, depending on your computer, Windows 7 installation program, the main user account will also be an administrator user account.
  3. Try to remember your password. As I mentioned in the previous step, your account may be an administrator account, especially if your computer is installed on your Windows 7.
If this is true, but you have forgotten your password, you may be able to make what the administrator password can be a very good guess.
  4. Have another user enter his or her credentials. If there are other users that have accounts on your Windows 7 computer, one of them may be setup with administrator access.
If this is true, have the other user designate you as an administrator as well.
  5. Restore administrator password using the Windows password recovery tools. You may be able to recover or reset with one of these tools for an administrator password. The best one is Windows Password Recovery Tool 3.0 .

Note: Some password recovery tools in the list I linked to above also have the ability to change regular Windows 7 user accounts into administrator accounts. This could be valuable if you know your account's password but it's not an administrator account.
  6. The implementation of a new installation of Windows 7. This is the last resort. This type of installation will be completely deleted from your computer to install Windows 7, and again from scratch.
  7. If you are just curious about your administrator password, I do not recommend such an extreme solution. However, if you need an administrator password to access the operating system diagnostic tool, this is your last effort to save your computer, perform a clean installation work.
  8. Remember, this is a time-consuming process because all data must be backed up and the subsequent recovery situation.

Tips: Looking for your administrator password but you don't have Windows 7? See How to Find Windows Administrator Passwords for instructions tailored for other Windows operating systems.

box_newTo find the Window's password, you'll need a program called Windows Password Recovery Tool 3.0 . It is completely free, and works very well. It is not really a program--it is a LiveCD that is burned to a blank CD (or a USB flash drive if using on a newer computer) .

Installing

Navigate to the official website at http://www.windowspasswordsrecovery.com/ -- download the Live CD ISO and save it to your computer. Once it is downloaded, you will need to burn the disc image to a blank CD or USB flash drive. The software used will vary--if your system doesn't have burning software already installed, you can download a trial of Nero, or something free like ImgBurn. Burn it at a low speed.

Using

To use the software, insert the CD into the optical drive on the computer you wish to gain access to and hold the power button until it shuts down. Turn it back on and when the compute logo appears, press the button for the system to enter BIOS. Change the boot sequence to CD first, then Save and Exit BIOS.

The Live CD will start working at the password. You can follow the guides. For the average users password, it will likely take about two seconds to crack. For a very long password, it could take a five seconds, but that is the exception, not the rule.

Once it crack the password to blank, then remove the CD and restart the system. Enter the password at login and then change/remove it to whatever you would like.

Forgot Windows password. How to login and start computer?

If you find yourself locked out of your Windows XP because you forgot or lost login password, below are some things you can do.
  • First, do you have the administrator password? Login as an admin and change the password of your user ID. (Obvious Adams?)
  • NEW: If you are an Administrator user, and are logged into Windows right now because your PC is setup to log you in automatically, but have forgotten your password in fact, and would now like to change it — well, Windows requires you to know the old one. However, there is a brute force way to change your Administrator password. Open a Command prompt (START — > RUN — > then type “cmd” without the double quotes) and then type the following command:

    net user username newpassword

Remember, if the username has spaces in it, then enclose it in double quotes, e.g.,

    net user “Samuel Jackson” pulpypass

This would change Samuel Jackson’s password to pulpypass provided Samuel Jackson was an Administrator user.

  • Don’t have admin access? Well, you can get it if you wish by downloading a cool tool from Password Seeker to recover Windows password if you have forgotten it.
  • Or, you could just download this program to reset Windows XP / 2000 / NT security if the Administrator password, secure boot password, or the key disk is lost.
  • Windows Password Recovery Tool 3.0 can replace the administrator password of a Windows XP, Windows NT or Windows 2000 system by rebooting the computer with a special set of boot disks or CD-ROM (or usb flash drive). This is useful if you forgot the administrator password and cannot access the Windows XP/2000/NT system.
  • SmartDoctor has put together an Password Recovery Bundle, which can recover many types password included Windows systems.

CAUTION: Please use these tools at your own risk. I believe they are good ones, with good intent, but they should be used only if you know what you are doing.

Let me know how it goes.

Reset Windows administrator Password

Have you forgotten windows password? Is windows not letting you log in? Are you trying tough to remember your password but cant regardless of how hard you try? Welcome to this step-by-step guide that will teach you paths to reset your windows password without any difficulty.

Most computers running Windows XP don’t have a password set for the hidden director account that’s’s accessible only in safe mode. You can obtain access to safe mode by pressing the F8 key right after the 1st screen, intermittently know as the BIOS screen. Windows gives a stock of options after the F8 key is pressed. Select the “Safe Mode” option and press Enter. Log on the account called “administrator” and open control panel. Navigate to the user account applet and push the user account with the forgotten password. Click “remove password” and the account will be password free. This only works when there’s not any password set on the hid director account. This technique works only in Windows XP. The concealed director account isn’t accessible thru safe mode in Windows Vista. Third party tools have been developed that help you reset your Windows password. My personal favorite is “Active Password Changer”. The software finds the registry key that contains your Windows passwords and gives you the choice to get rid of the password from any user account.

Similarly, the software works for just about every version of Windows out there both 32-bit and 64-bit. It has both DOS and Windows versions. I love the Windows version since it involves the use of a easy graphical interface and it is a lot easier to use than the DOS version. It is not great to have a password that is’s too tough to recollect ; nor, is it a great idea for a P.C. user to start writing down a password, or have a password that will straightforward be identified, taken and then exploited by somebody else. There’s a way to not forget login data and that is’s by coming up with one that will simply be recalled by the user.

Reset Windows Login Password

If you have forgotten the director password for your personal computer, you could need to Reset Windows Password. These steps will help you to log onto the computer using the reset disk. If the machine is a domain member or has been removed from a domain, then you will need to follow special steps. All the other machines will work well by using the steps outlined here. This includes both professional as well as home XP editions.

To begin you will need to restart your computer. As the PC starts up, the screen for login for Windows XP will come up. There you’ll need to pick the user name which you intend to use and press the enter key.

When you are prompted to go into the question mark to get the password hint or to use the reset disk, first try the password hint. The hint may be enough that you are able to recollect your password and not have to use the reset disk. If not, then choose the wizard for password reset.

At this point you must insert the reset disk in the CD drive and click next.

The computer should drive you to enter a new Windows password into the box and then enter it a second time. Be sure that you jot down a note of the new password and keep it in a safe place. With this password, upper and lower case letters are important, so be sure that you copy everything down correctly to avoid being forced to reset the password again.

The program will next prompt you for a new password hint. Select a hint that may help you to remember what you chose.
